Origin service.
Consists of pre movement survey, submission
and approval of rate quotation, packing
of effects, loading onto exterior container,
removal of packing debris, weighing of shipment,
marking, branding and all related administrative
services required to make the shipment ready
for movement from the point of origin.
Pre
movement service
Determination in advance of pick up date,
nature, quantity and volume of goods to
be shipped, the material required for packing
and containerisation as also the personnel,
equipment and time needed to do the job.
Rate
quotation
A commitment to furnish specified services
at a fixed rate.
Preliminary
packing
Wrapping the effects in paper, tissue, polythene,
bubble sheet, corrugated paper and or gunny
as required. Placement in cartons, wooden
boxes / crates and padding with thermocole,
puff and such materials required to protect
items from damage, preparatory to loading
onto exterior shipping containers / trucks.
It may also involve making wooden lift vans,
pallets and fumigation. Critical consignments
moving by sea are packed to prevent oxidation
using aluminum film, desiccates, stretch
film and other materials of international
standard.
Loading
The physical placement of pre packed shipment
onto exterior container / carrier.
B.
Transit service.
Shipments
Preference is given to quick and smooth
mode of transport by road
on trucks, by rail through
wagon, by sea as LCL /
FCL in 20 / 40 feet container and by air
as loose or pallet as previously decided.
Escort
Personal escort is sent along with the shipment,
only in domestic moves, to ensure safety
and clearance on top priority at all entry
checkpoints and octroi posts.
Insurance
& custom clearance
These services are out sourced by the company.
C.
Destination service.
Delivery
Receiving shipment from the line haul carrier,
delivery into residence or any other designated
point.
Unpacking
& arranging
Unloading and removal of effects from the
exterior container and placing the unpacked
furniture, appliances and contents of opened
boxes and cartons in their appropriate rooms.
Removal
of debris
All debris from unpacking are removed from
the site of delivery.
